| Whistler is a part of the Vancouver 2010
Winter Olympic Games and a number of the major events are happening
right here in Whistler in only days! [That's less than a three months away!!!]
Bobsled, luge, and skeleton will all be held at the Whistler Sliding Centre a short stroll from Whistler SlopeSide. Many alpine ski events will take place on the Whistler mountain's legendary Dave Murray Downhill accessed easily by using the Peak2Peak from the top of Blackcomb to the top of Whistler Mountain or by taking the Whistler Creekside Shuttle. Nordic skiing events and ski jumping will be taking place at the Whistler Olympic Center in the Callaghan Valley a few kilometers South of Whistler Village. Whistler SlopeSide has rates up to and through the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. |
